ONE-MAN CHRISTMAS CAROL CAPTURES AUDIENCES AND CRITICS ALIKE!
TART’s A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story Plays through December 20
It’s the holiday season, and you know what that means. A lot of shopping, a lot of cooking, a lot of eating, and a lot of Christmas classics gracing the stages of your favorite theaters.
This season Tacoma Actors Repertory Theater (TART for short and Tacoma’s newest theatre company) brings A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story to the stage. Performed by acclaimed character actor Byron Tidwell, who uses the script Charles Dickens himself wrote and toured, this show is the closest you will get to a “director’s cut “of the holiday classic. Dickens’ influence on our present day Christmas celebrations cannot be denied. As Tacoma Weekly points out, A Christmas Carol hails back to the “bygone era that gave rebirth to Christmas traditions that are now commonplace.” Audiences and critics are raving about this evocative production, calling it “fresh,” “meaty,” and “mesmerizing.” And Byron Tidwell’s performance as Dickens has been lauded as “captivating” and “transformative in its detail.” You don’t want to miss this show!
A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story continues its run through December 20th, with 8 PM evening shows Wednesdays through Saturdays, and 2 PM matinees on Saturdays and Sundays.
Ticket prices are $25.00 for general admission and $22.50 for students and seniors. Group discounts are also available. For more information about TART or A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story, please visit www.tacomarep.org.
